Profile David Bermingham
David Bermingham is Managing Director, CEVA Newsfast; David joined express, logistics and mail provider TNT 1993 working for Newsfast. David was instrumental in establishing the highly successful TNT Network Logistics operation, building on the core newspaper distribution service.
David was appointed to Managing Director in late 2001 and in 2002 integrated the shared-user network of the recently acquired Taylor Barnard business with TNT Newsfast/TNT Network Logistics, creating the UK's largest multi-user logistics operation, which has a turnover in excess of £200 million, employs 2,300 people, 800+ vehicles and utilises 300,000 sq m of warehouse space across 19 locations nationwide.
In 2006 parent company TNT N.V. sold TNT Logistics to Apollo Management Ltd. TNT Logistics was renamed CEVA Logistics and David became Managing Director, for CEVA Newsfast.
Recent developments include the provision of the national logistics infrastructure to support the roll out of TNT Post UK's postal services and implementation of a national van delivery operation for b2c parcel deliveries.
