Profile Rupert Nichols
Rupert Nichols joined express, logistics and mail operator TNT in 1984. After joining TNT, Rupert held a number of senior roles, initially in Sydney, Australia, and has been a Board member of many of TNT's international operations. Rupert became legal director and company secretary of TNT Logistics UK in April 2002.
In July 2006, Rupert joined the Logistics UK Management Board taking responsibility for Legal & Company Secretarial matters and the Risk & Insurance, Property, Security and Engineering departments, together with the new head office project.
In 2006 parent company TNT N.V. sold TNT Logistics to Apollo Management Ltd. TNT Logistics was renamed CEVA Logistics and Rupert became Director and Company Secretary for CEVA in UK.
Rupert is a solicitor and chartered secretary (FCIS) and is the Hon.Solicitor to the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, a Fellow of that Institute and a member of its UK and International Councils. Rupert has served as chairman of the Cheshire Police Authority and an officer in the Australian Army Reserve. He serves as a Parish Councillor and School Governor in Rainford, Lancashire.
